miRcutis derives its name from microRNA + cutis (Latin for “living skin”). The Company was formed in 2015 in Seattle by Dr. Kai Wang, a leading microRNA scientist and a technologist of wide accomplishment, and James K. Chiu, an early-stage technology investment banker.

miRcutis intends to bring the cutting edge discoveries of RNA science, for the first time, to the mass market of personal care products for the skin, available without prescription. In its focus on the consumer products market, the Company believes it is the first biotechnology company to target non-clinical uses of microRNA-intermediated gene expression technology.
